Flora Stay, D.D.S
Flora Stay, D.D.S.
received her degree in doctor of dental surgery from University of California at San Francisco in 1975. She has built several successful dental practices since then, headed two community clinics, and been faculty at two major universities. She has authored three consumer dental books, the latest being Secret Gateway to Health, (Morgan-James Publishers). Currently she is an Assistant Associate Professor at University of Southern California (U.S.C.), School of Dentistry, Department of Diagnostic Sciences. She is also the founder and formulator of Grace Products Inc., a line of consumer dental products.
She has been a contributing author to Women Doctors Guide to Health and Healing (Oxmoor House), Natural Prescriptions for Women, The Doctors Book of Herbal Home Remedies, Doctor’s Book of Home Remedies for Seniors, Rodale Publishers, and many more health related books.
Has written for or been interviewed in many publications, including Prevention, Men’s Health, Women’s World, the Ventura County Star, Health World Online and The New York Times, editorial writer for Total Health Magazine.
Dr. Stay has had a weekly column in Ventura County Star from 2001-2004. She has also been the host of a weekly radio program on health from 1996 – 2004
Kurt Skarin, Esq.
Kurt Skarin, Esq.
received his undergraduate degree in psychology from U.C.L.A. in 1972. He attended Tulane University for graduate school where he earned a Masters degree and his doctoral degree in psychology in 1975. He completed his residency in psychology at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles before assuming the position as Chief Psychologist at Northridge Hospital in Northridge, CA. Kurt left Northridge Hospital after six years to start the psychology program at Downey Community Hospital in Downey, CA.
Simultaneously, Kurt attended Loyola University School of Law in Los Angeles, CA. He completed his Juris Doctorate degree in 1983 and worked for the healthcare law firm of McDermott and Traynor in Los Angeles. Subsequently, he moved into his present field of dental practice sales. He is licensed as an attorney and a real estate broker.
In the past 25 years, Kurt has sold more than 1,400 dental practices and completed thousands of dental practice appraisals. He has been qualified as an expert in the area of Dental Practice Sales in the Superior Courts of Los Angeles County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, Orange County, San Diego County and Kern County. He has lectured at U.C.L.A., U.S.C., and Loma Linda University Schools of Dentistry, as well as many dental society and dental association meetings. He has articles published by the Expert Series in Dentistry.
Kurt is married to his lovely wife, Keli, and has two sons, one a C.P.A. now attending Loyola University School of Law and one an international business major working on his MBA in international business at Thunderbird University.
